Art Supporting Science
Science can create beautiful works of art. At Photoanthropy, we believe that supporting research by selling limited editions of scientific images is a great way to provide additional funding to researchers to help them repair and improve our world.
OUR STORY
Photoanthropy grew out of a desire to help the Donald Danforth Plant Science Center afford an intern to assist in the Microscopy Lab. We looked at the images they created to support research and thought there could be value in selling these to the public. Working with Kirk Czymmek, the Development Office and Hal Davies (Chief Operating Officer and VP for Finance), we came up with a plan and a process that would work.

This website and the scientific research it supports is the result. After subtracting all costs of production and a small fee to cover operations, the rest of the money collected from sales is donated to the research institute or lab that is doing the research.

A physical certificate of authenticity will be provided to the purchaser. In the future, we plan to also send an NFT. This may take a number of months and cannot be guaranteed. While each image is offered in a standard size, the purchaser may request different media (aluminum, metallic paper, etc.) and different sizes. They will be charged the increased cost of production. The number of images will always be limited to the initial offering size no matter how the image is produced.

Help us fund great science through art.
